Braun Construction Group was selected again as the Construction Manager for Phase II of this project.
Presbyterian Villages of Michigan of East Harbor consists of a campus of 11.3 acres. On the site will be an Independent Living Building: approximately 66,470 sf, 3 floors, 61 Independent Living Units, Community Theatre, Library, Private Dinning, Warming Kitchen, Lounge and various facility maintenance work rooms. Also, on this development is a Wellness Center 4,892sf, which will have a Grill Room, Kitchen/Juice Bar, Open Gym, Group Fitness, Men’s & Women’s Locker rooms and various therapy and message rooms. Lastly, a village of 12 Cottages consisting of 36 Residential Units.
Cortis Brothers Excavating & Trucking mobilized before the first of the year. They started to rid the site of trees and brush and then install an emergency road from Callens Road to Kiely Rd. to keep the existing campus safe if a fire truck or ambulance needed access. The building pad for the Wellness Center was started and ramps graded to the two East exit doors were put in place, if the need to vacate the immediate wing of rehabilitation center was to occur. The Independent Living Building Pad was brought to grade and the Sanitary Sewer was started on Monday, February 23rd and was completed on Friday, March 6th. The Storm was then started on Monday, March 9th.
